Personal Digital Game : Lost Farm

Title : Lost Farm

Platform :Maze Game
Game Type: Collection and Survival Game



Game Concept:  The game concept is suppose to be a farm that has all its animal lost and the farmer mission is to collect all the lost animal at each level of the game. As I am not good at drawing so i used Gamemaker Sprite(Art) for my character in the game. Since this game objective is to improve on my programming skill.At each level different animal is trapped inside the door. Farmer which is the player would have to go through each level by killing all the enemies which is suppose to be the wolf but currently i used the skull head as a example. I might hope to further make the game more challenging by allowing the enemy to be able to respawn even after player has shot the monster.This allow us to make the game more challenging as this emphasis player to speed up in saving the animal. I uses the (Diamond) as a representation of the lost animal. Farmer can just shoot the enemy from four different direction but in order to make game more challenging again i would further inprove it by limiting the number of bullet player can shoot.



The objective in order to open the trapped animal at each level would be collecting the scattered smaller animal in the game before you lost all your live. When all smaller animal is collected the door that trapped the main animal which i used the apple to represent would be saved. There is also medication which i used (banana) to represent. It would be used to help recover the live of player when getting in contact with enemy. There would be only a maximum of only 3 lives so if player still collect the medication it would be added into the point system.

The overall game objective of the game is to score the highest High Score. Time pressure added into the game makes the game more challenging when player try to reach each end of the game in the time limit.

The level design i think that there is still room for improvement as i would wish to at least have 5 to 7 level for the game and as each level progress, the level become more challenging. The time pressure that i would be using in the game would make player speed up and collect all the smaller animal and open up the door. The game end when all the animal is finally retrieved back and the farm is salvaged.


This is considered my first programmed game which I tried creating after I went for the GameMaker workshop and with the help from my friend when i do not understand what mistakes did i made in my code. There might be a basic game play but this also allow me to get a better understanding of GameMaker. I find that it would be useful to myself as knowing basic Gamemaker would help in my Diploma when I would wish to design a basic Game play of my Game Ideas.

Elves Journey UT2 Game Design Game

Title Game: Elves Journey UT2 Game Design

Platform: 2D platform Game


Game Description: The theme of my game would be the Sloth theme. The storyline of the game would be explaining about that Christmas is coming and Santa Claus is sending out present to kids as per normal. In the sleigh, Santa Claus then notice that there is a big hole in his bag which contain all the present that he needto send to the kids. He went back home to find help from th elves but because it is Chirstmas period all the other elves were busy out except for one lazy elf who is still sleeping when everyone is out working hard. Santa Claus was angry to see the lazy elf and demand him to go out and collect back all the dropped present. Being a lazy elf, collecting all the present back would be a chore to him. We are suppose to prevent him from falling asleep in the process of collecting the present and make it back in time to Santa Claus and send out all the present to the kids.


Role in game : I am the sound designer in my team who is incharge of all the sound in the game. Understanding of the game concept and editing of sound effect to suit the game.
