FYP Game : Boarding Gate Rush

Game Concept : 

In this digital prototype, the main core mechanic of sorting the customers into various shops are highlighted. There are 4 basic shops that are already there and 4 basic customer types with different preferences. As the game starts, customers would come walking in with thought bubbles above their heads showing which store they would like to patronize. It is the player's job to sort the customers into the various shops based on their liking by pointing and clicking the customer into a specific shop.


After a customer is done patronizing a shop, they may have another shop they would like to patronize, another thought bubble would appear signifying that they want to patronize another shop. Different gender customer would have different number of turns they would revisit the shop. After the customers are done shopping, a smiley face icon would appear above their heads signifying that they are satisfied with their shopping and are ready to go to the boarding gate so player just have to point the specific customer and move them to the boarding gate.


However, if the player sorts a customer into a wrong shop, there will be a penalty whereby the customer becomes angry and they would wander outside the shop before player are allowed to sort them into the shop. Also, if the player point and click a customer straight into the boarding gate, the customer would be unhappy and money will again be deducted.


There is a total level of 5 different levels and as the level progresses, the player would be allowed to upgrade their shop and this allows them to earn more money. There would be a specific amount of money for the player to fulfil at each level and the higher the amount of money the customer earn the more stars. For the last 10 second, a announcement sound would appear and a 10 second countdown icon would appear. For customer which are still not sorted, player can choose to either ignore if they have reach the criteria of each level goal or they would have to directly drag the customer into the boarding gate without sorting them. This would result to money being deducted from range $10 - $25. The amount of the player earning would determine the ranking the airport would get from 0 - 3 which is the highest badges.


Team Contribution : 
The contribution I have in my team would be mainly as the Main sound designer my main task would be to edit and find out the sound effect which the team want for our game. I would mostly be editing the sound effect which I have gotten from Royalty Free website.
I also take up the Producer roles so my roles would be mostly doing all the documentation like updating the Team Blog, Scrum and Team Report and listing down the feedback and things needed to be done for each member. I would also keep track to each individual member current progression to ensure that our project are progressing in time.
I would also do the playtester role of my team by playtesting all the build of the game which my programmer upload and do the internal playtest log for my programmer to improve in the game and try to notice if there is any game bug in the game.

How To Play : 

Select the customer by pointing at the customer. 

Click on the preferred shop which the want to enter. 






















Customer who are satisfied can be move to the boarding gate. 

Unsatisfied customer we would have to wait for a new preferred shop given to the customer.
